James has worked in the electrical distribution industry in New Zealand now for over 19 years and in the United Kingdom construction industry for 17 years prior to that, holding senior consulting and advisory positions in both countries.

He has a wealth of project and design management experience, managing large programs for multiple utilities and has provided consultancy services to some of New Zealand largest infrastructure projects as well as leading transmission and distribution companies.

In the distribution industry he has significant experience in underground and overhead line installation projects including substation and switch gear design implementation as well as the design of temporary overhead line construction pending integration into the new underground installed cables and associated substation systems, etc.

James was invited by the original concept founder to manage the design process from conception to conclusion. He has worked closely with Rick to take the design from the CAD concept to the current commercial model available today.
Alec’s work experience spans over 50 years in New Zealand and relates mainly to the electricity and gas distribution industry and covers all aspects of this business including asset management, customer service delivery, business development, relationship management, network operations and contract management.
For the past fifteen years Alec has been heavily involved in working with Utilities, Transport Corridor Owners and Operators, Councils and Project Delivery Alliances with a strong focus on the project development and coordination activities to ensure good outcomes for all parties involved with key infrastructure projects within the Auckland CBD and the wider Auckland area.
Alec has been involved with the original concept of the Bigfoot Pole Support Systems. Over the years he has worked closely with James and Rick.
Alec is focussing on customer growth and customer relationships and supporting the commercial development of the product.
Rick has worked in the electrical distribution industry for over 30 years, he has held senior positions in large electrical contracting companies and has a wealth of experience in this industry sector including line construction and major project work.

Rick has recently stepped down as the chairman of the annual Connection (Line Mechanic and Cable Jointer National competition) organising committee and as the Chief Judge for the past 21 years.

He was also involved in providing consultancy services to one of the premier line mechanic training organisations which includes leadership development, specialty skills and competency as well as examinations for the final L4 qualifications.

Rick was invited by the developers of Bigfoot Pole Support Systems to get involved in the evolution and commercial development of the product. He immediately saw how invaluable the Bigfoot product could be to the distribution industry and jumped at the opportunity to be a part of the team.
